Newberry County Career Center
The mission of Newberry County Career Center, with the collaboration of its stakeholders, is to engage students in Career and Technology Education ensuring the success and life-long learning in the global economy. We serve three schools from the surrounding areas...Newberry High School, Mid-Carolina High School, and Whitmire Community School. We offer CATE (Career and Technology Education) classes such as Carpentry, Welding, Machine Tool, Agriculture, Mechatronics, and Health Science Technology. Other classes that are offered include Cosmetology, Protective Services, Automotive Technology, Auto Body Collision Repair, Pre-engineering, and Computer Assisted Drafting and Design. Several business classes are also available, such as Business Information Management, Accounting, Marketing Communications, Web and Digital Communications, and General Management. Feel free to visit us on site. We are proud of the work achieved by the students here at the Career Center and the dedication of the faculty to prepare our students for the work force of tomorrow. We are one big family, and serve together on the same team- from the students, to the faculty, to the administration, to the district office, to the parents, to the business leaders of the community.
