About the Laurens/Newberry Counties Career Showcase

Collaboration & partnerships are the driving forces behind this career showcase. Several entities from Laurens & Newberry Counties are hosting this event, designed to expose 8th graders to various career opportunities within our region’s major employment sectors.  

 

Students get to interact with company representatives in a variety of career areas to begin learning what decisions they can make now to begin acquiring the skill sets needed to make them more marketable in the future.

This year’s Laurens/Newberry County Career Showcase will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 in Laurens.

• What different jobs are like
• What companies in my community do
• How to prepare now for future employment
